* Responsible for the technical and administrative oversight for all district technology. Plans, organizes, staffs, and directs the Technology Department for effective delivery of services.

* Maintains primary responsibility for the management of the districts computer systems, including both operations and applications software.

* Designs and delivers technical training programs for staff throughout the district.

* Maintains district local area networks and servers.

* Works with the Superintendent and Principals to develop and promote effective public relations.

* Identifies, and assists in the identification of, appropriate computing products and services for district applications.  Prepares, and assists in the preparation of, procurement documents for same.  Manages the implementation of these products and services.

* Administers the budget for the technology department, including hourly wages and any operation & maintenance or special funds allocated for the department's use.

* Prepares budgetary, management, and other reports relating to departmental activities.

* Serves as needed on district committees.
